What an RFQ costs before you quote it

Machine shop quoting starts with an RFQ in the inbox, with a drawing, a due date and part of the information you need.

Someone reads it, writes back for what is missing, finds a past job and builds the quote by hand.

That quote intake work eats the hours your estimator should spend pricing, and the follow-up waits until there is time.

What Quote Desk does

  • Reads the RFQ and the drawings

Quote Desk reads the emailed RFQ and the drawings, then pulls out the specs and the due date.

  • Quote intake that flags what is missing

Every RFQ gets checked for missing information, so your estimator knows what to ask for before opening it.

  • Drafts the quote and follows up

Quote Desk drafts the quote from your past jobs, then follows up until there is a PO or a no. Your estimator stays in control of the price.

What you get back

RFQs get read and checked sooner, quotes go out sooner, and every one gets followed up until there is a PO or a no. Your estimator spends the time on pricing instead of retyping.

Who it is for, and who it is not for

A good fit

  • Machine shops and fabricators that get RFQs by email with drawings attached.
  • Shops where the estimator or the owner reads every RFQ and writes every quote.
  • Shops in Western PA, eastern Ohio and northern West Virginia.

Not a fit

  • You want to replace your ERP or quoting software. We build on the systems you already run.
  • You want quotes sent without anyone looking. Your team stays in control of every price and every reply.
  • RFQs are rare for you and the way you quote now works fine.

Questions

What does it cost?
The workflow audit is free. If it makes sense to go further, the next step is a Shop Map, which is paid and credited in full toward the build. The build is quoted after the audit, so you see the price before anything is built.
Do I need new software?
Quote Desk is built on the email, ERP and accounting you already run, so you are not asked to replace them.
Who owns it?
You do. You keep the accounts, the data and control, and your prices and drawings stay yours. Your team stays in control of every price and every reply.
Where do you work?
In person in Western Pennsylvania, in Pittsburgh and Erie, and remote everywhere else. Quote Desk also serves eastern Ohio and northern West Virginia.
What happens on the audit call?
The call is free and takes 30 minutes. It covers one workflow: we walk through one RFQ from inbox to quote and look at where the time goes. You get one page back showing where it slips. No obligation.

“I trusted Three Rivers AI with my first project as a new hire at my current position. Risky? Maybe, but they exceeded all of my expectations and did an unbelievable job in creating our software. I plan to do a lot more work with Ethan and his team. They made me look like a hero!”
